World of Warcraft begins its holiday sale on in-game cosmetics, with brand-new items and discounts on others being removed from the shop soon.
World of Warcraft’s holiday sale has begun, with huge discounts on character services, upgrades, and items soon leaving the cash shop. In addition, the World of Warcraft holiday sale is offering a couple of brand-new cosmetic items in its shop. These offers are available now and run through January 2.
Dragonflight Patch 10.0.5 is introducing the Trading Post–an in-game marketplace where players can buy awesome cosmetics with a currency earned via monthly tasks and by being subscribed. The Celestial Steed and Winged Guardian mounts, as well as the Lil’ K.T. and Pandaren Monk minions–currently available on the Battle.net store–will be moving to the Trading Post once the feature is live. During the holiday sale, players can buy these items at a 65% discount before they are removed from the cash shop forever.
Players can also pick up the new Heartwarming Pack bundle. This toasty cosmetic pack includes three battle pets and four mounts from the World of Warcraft cash shop, all of which are fiery red and bright gold. The pack also includes the Fireplume Regalia transmog set–a brand new phoenix-themed outfit. These items can be purchased together for a 60% discount from their original prices during the sale.
This sale has also heralded Tyrael’s Charger’s permanent addition to the cash shop. Though the mount is not discounted at a steep $25, the celestial steed would make a worthy addition to any collector’s stables. Tyrael’s Charger was originally exclusive to those who bought the Annual Pass during Mists of Pandaria but is now returning to the World of Warcraft cash shop indefinitely.
The World of Warcraft holiday sale is also a great time to purchase game services. Name, Race, and Faction Changes, as well as Paid Character Transfers, are discounted up to 30%, with some of the more expensive packs instead offering bonus services. If players were considering a change for a new year of World of Warcraft, now is the perfect time to make it happen.
Right now, players who purchase Dragonflight also get an extra 30 free days of playtime, making it a great time for players to explore what the new expansion has to offer–or to gift the expansion to a friend. World of Warcraft Classic players who haven’t picked up the Northrend Heroic or Epic Upgrades for Wrath of the Lich King Classic can also do so with a 25% discount during the sale. With a bevy of options available through the end of the year, people should have no trouble finding gifts for their favorite World of Warcraft players.
